Challenge #11 - Haunting Dreams

Title: Haunting Dreams
Author: witchbabyweetz
Pairing/Characters: William, mention of Jack/Liz and Bootstrap
Word Count: 587
Rating: PG
Genre: Gen/Drama
Summary: Will is haunted by nightmares that refuse to leave him alone.
Disclaimer: Disney owns it all in real life; I own it all in my dreams.
Spoilers: Post-DMC, as per usual.
Warnings: See below?
Notes: This isn't nearly as long as most of mine usually are, a ghost of fic you might say, and it's written in somewhat of a different style that I'm slightly wary of but tied to, so please let me know what you think!

Challenge 12

Title: Haunted Past
Author: tenacitydrader
Characters: Pretty much everyone
Pairings: Tia Dalma/Davy Jones, Tia Dalma/Barbossa, Tia Dalma/Beckett
Word count: 37K
Rating: PG-13; everything really bad is implied (R if you’re picky)
Genre: Speculative?

Summary: The best summary is in the requirements for the challenge, honestly. This fic has a lot of backstory on Tia Dalma, Barbossa, Davy Jones, and Beckett that is used as a context for what happens after DMC. Anything else I could summarize would sort of be a spoiler…

Disclaimer: All characters and settings herein are property of Disney and Bruckheimer productions. I do not profit from this in the form of monetary or other compensation. No copyright infringement is intended.
Spoilers: Because this is set after Dead Man’s Chest, there are massive DMC SPOILERS!!!

Warnings: This fic wraps up the trilogy, so there is character death herein (also in accordance with requirement group “B”). I don’t kill Jack, but I sort of give him a fate worse than death.

Notes: I did all of requirement group “A” and almost all of requirement group “B.” I think that I actually stuck to canon fairly well, except I did take some creative license by making a this other fic I wrote a while ago part of canon backstory. You don’t have to go and read it, but you should know what it’s about. In a nutshell: between movies, Norrington washes up on Tia Dalma’s beach and she saves his life, plus she shows him what marriage to Elizabeth would have been like. I also sort of fudged Ragetti and Pintel’s first names and I don’t really care if they’re wrong.

Special thanks: I’d like to give a shoutout to everyone who participated in this debate including, but not limited to galadhir and sparrbecuecook; your points of view re: Norrington were incredibly useful in writing this. Finally, I’d like to thank the fine folks who took the time to put the DMC script together.
